GlossyBox review, October

Glossybox review

After seeing Glossybox ads too many times, I finally decided to give it a go and order my very first GlossyBox.

What is GlossyBox ?

GlossyBox is a beauty subscription box that delivers 5 beauty goodies to your doorstep every month. Products are always wrapped in delicate paper, placed in a beautiful sturdy box, and worth at least 50£. It is a beauty treat that not only allows you to try out new products but also brings surprise and excitement.

You can have a sneak peek into the month’s beauty box on their website since they do reveal some of the products. But, I did not do it, simply because I didn’t want to ruin the surprise.

So without further ado, here is everything that was inside October's beauty box, plus I also added their recommended retail price (RRP)

Precy&Reed fizz fixer spray

Percy & Reed Frizz Fixer Spray (50ml) RRP 7.50

This travel size is frizz fix spray was well needed, such a great size to slip into my handbag for the touch ups on the go.

What I love about the product is that it doesn't leave hair looking heavy, plus it's super easy to brush out.

I put this to the test when I was commuting in London on a rainy day. It passed the test, my freshly blow-dried hair stayed pretty much frizz-free.

Percy & Reed salon was founded in 2007 by one of London's (and the world's) leading session stylists, Paul Percival.

Their product company was launched in 2011, offering a wide range of premium products. All the products are formulated and manufactured in the UK.

Steve Laurent Orchid lip oil ~ RRP 15.99

Steve Laurant Lip Oil

I love lip products, and I was excited to test this one out!

This is a non-sticky lip oil that leaves your lips hydrated and gives the lips a glass-like natural shine and healthy appearance. It can be used on its own for natural hydrated glossy lips look, or on top of the lipstick for extra shine and hydration.

Absolutely love this one, it makes the lips feel so soft and gives that nice juicy look.

bubbleT cocunut lotion

Bubble T coconut body lotion

I could not find the actual retail price, but after investigating their product range, I would estimate it around 6-7£

This was the first product from the box I tested out and I love it! This moisturizer is easy to apply, feels light on the skin, and has a nice coconut scent but nothing too overpowering.

It is a water-based moisturizer, hence it doesn't leave the skin looking and feeling greasy.

Bubble T was launched in 2014, they offer a range of innovative products in fun and creative packaging. Their entire bath & body products contain a range of tea-infused ingredients and essential oils. Plus, all their products are Paraben, SLS and cruelty-free.

BYBI eye plump

BYBI  bakuchiol eye plump cream  RRP 20£

I was extremely happy to find this eye cream in this month's glossybox. So far it seems to suit me well and has improved the hydration levels of my eye area.

As its name says, it contains active bakuchiol which is a natural alternative to retinol, along with broccoli seed oil and hyaluronic acid.

These powerful ingredients help to improve the skin’s moisture levels, fine lines and wrinkles, and uneven texture.

BYBI is a vegan and cruelty-free skincare brand based in London, UK, founded in 2017. They produce products that focus on skin wellness by using natural effective ingredients to optimize skin health while leaving a minimum carbon footprint.

christophe robin hydrating melting mask

Christophe Robin hydrating melting mask 40ml estimate RRP 7£

This conditioning treatment with Aloe Vera and flaxseed oil promises to hydrate,  nourish and restore dry hair. It has an ultra-light runny texture and is meant to leave in hair for 2 min before rinsing it off.

Unfortunately, this did not make a difference in my dry and fine hair. I only kept it in for the recommended time of 2 min ( or a little more). I usually give my hair longer conditioning baths, so maybe if I had kept it in for longer, I would have noticed a difference.

Christophe Robin is a Parisian luxurious hair care line, established in 1999 in Paris. Its products are highly concentrated to deliver instant and long-lasting results,  yet gentle for the hair and scalp. Christophe Robin products are formulated with over 80% natural ingredients that are free from parabens, silicone, SLS, oxidants, and ammonia, and are cruelty-free.

BeautyPro Warming Eye Mask

BeautyPro Warming Eye Mask 16g RRP 2.95£
This chamomile warming eye mask is made to replenish tired eyes, nourish the skin and promote a smooth and uplifted appearance.

Let me be completely honest, I have never used any warming eye mask before, and let me tell ya, I have been missing out.

Love this, it is self-wearing and its gentle heat feels so relaxing and incredibly soothing on my eye area.

BeautyPro is a multiple award-winning British brand, founded in 2010. Their mission is to produce cruelty-free, vegan skincare that has maximum impact on the skin, and minimum impact on the planet while adding a little luxury to daily life.

Final Thoughts

Overall I am very content with the products I received, and it's definitely worth my money. It is such a great way to test out new products,  as well as add some excitement and surprise into your life by opening the box.
